This WWI "doughboy" is wearing the regulation 1912 pattern uniform with the 1917 helmet. His belt, gas mask, pack and other equipment is all standard issue. He was issued a 1917 Colt .45 double-action revolver and a 1903 Springfield rifle calibre 30-06.
